What is the OhioLINK E-Books Collection?
OhioLINK provides a diverse, multi-publisher collection of 36,000 electronic
books.
History
- 2000 – OhioLINK first began offering e-books from
netLibrary.
- 2007 – OhioLINK launched the multi-publisher Electronic
Book Center in August 2007, with thousands of scholarly and reference
e-books, published by Springer and Oxford University Press.
Access
OhioLINK’s e-book collections are accessible to current students, faculty
and staff of OhioLINK member institutions.

- In 2007, there were 1,741,2000 e-books downloaded
Collections
OhioLINK e-books can be found by searching the OhioLINK Library Catalog or
browsing the separate collections:
- The Electronic Book Center contains
15,000+ scholarly and reference e-books from publishers ABC-CLIO, Oxford University
Press and Springer. Additional e-books and e-book collections will be added.
- The netLibrary
collection contains more than 15,000 titles purchased by OhioLINK as well
as public domain e-books.
- The Oxford
Reference Online Collection contains 100+ reference books including subject
handbooks, dictionaries (English, translation, and subject) and other reference
books, such as quotation collections. The Oxford Companions series and the
Oxford Dictionary of Quotations are also available.
- Oxford
Scholarship Online contains more than 1,200 full text of classic and newly-published
scholarly works in the humanities and social sciences from Oxford University
Press. Subject collections are available in Economics & Finance, Philosophy,
Political Science, and Religion.
- The Safari
Tech Books Online Collection consists of 5,200+ electronic books in computer
science, information technology, and related fields from top computer and
technology publishers.
