Title: words in title of play, poem, novel, story, chapter, etc.- Two or more words together are automatically searched as a phrase of adjacent words (no need to use quotation marks).
land of freedom finds the exact phrase land of freedom
- Every word is searched, including and, or, not.

- Use asterisk at end of word stem to find plural forms and other variations.

Search results are grouped by book. You can sort results by author, title, date, or frequency of occurrences of your term.
Results Details: Shows each occurrence found of your term, highlighted within an excerpt of surrounding text. Click the poem, chapter, or section title to view that portion of the book.
Table of Contents: Shows the table of contents for the entire book in which the poem, play, or novel was published. The table of contents displays the title, author(s), and print source, and its entire list of poems, plays, chapters, etc. Click any entry to go directly there.
From the Table of Contents, use the box Search this Text to submit a search just within this book. The Table of Contents also displays the option to View Entire Text, which allows you to view the entire book as one file in your browser.
Click Add to Bookbag to save a book in a temporary space. From the Bookbag, you can search within the set of books that you have chosen. You can also e-mail, display, or save bibliographic information for books that you have chosen.
Email Contents: e-mail citations of selected books.
Download Contents: display or save citations of selected books.
Empty Contents: empties the bookbag.
