Electronic Resources FAQ

Q. Do you anticipate service interruptions to e-resources?

A. We understand your community will most likely be heavily relying on electronic resources as institutions shift to online-only classes. We are not anticipating any service interruptions to our vendor/publisher electronic resources.

We will keep close watch on these resources and quickly communicate any service interruptions reported to us by the vendor/publisher to the E-Resources and Leads Implementation Teams. We will also monitor our support system closely for any reports of issues accessing OhioLINK resources and work to resolve issues as soon as possible, should any arise.

Q. Are there user limits on OhioLINK e-resources?

A. All OhioLINK e-resources allow for an unlimited number of simultaneous users.
Please note: If you spot a service interruption, please be sure to open a ticket in addition to reporting the issue on the ERIT and/or Leads listservs.

Q. I am a student at an OhioLINK institution, but my institution has closed. I need resources for my virtual class. What do I do?

A. First, check the website for your institution’s library; your library will have many resources available through their catalog and online databases. Also, it is very likely that your librarians are working--even if remotely. Contact information for your library should be available on the library’s website. Second, OhioLINK maintains a list of resources available through our website here. Last, you can always complete the support form and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Q. What if I still have questions?

A. Please complete the support form and we’ll do our best to assist you.
