Print Lending FAQ

Q. Is INN-Reach lending still in operation?
A. Due to the library closures necessitated by the COVID-19 response, print lending through the Central Catalog is not available at this time. This difficult decision was made in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Higher Education and OhioLINK’s Deans and Directors.

Q. Is Priority Dispatch making any delivery changes at this time?
A. Priority Dispatch will continue to make deliveries on Wednesday (March 18th) and Thursday (March 19th) to libraries that continue to be open. No new outgoing shipments will be accepted at this time, and all deliveries will stop on Friday (March 20th).

Q. My library is remaining open. Should items circulated through INN-Reach/PCIRC be handled differently?
A. You should follow your institution’s policies regarding circulating material. To help inform your local policies, please see the most current information about managing the spread of COVID-19 at the CDC’s website. INN-Reach items returned by patrons should not be sent back to their owning institutions at this time. They should be kept at your library until delivery service can be restored.

Q. Some parts (or all) of my institution will be closing. What are our next steps?
A. If all or part of your institution be closing – or if there are updates to a closure that was previously reported - please have your Lead Implementer, Director, or Dean email to let OhioLINK know about the changes. This information will be used to help determine when print lending can again be supported.

Q. I am a student at an OhioLINK institution, but my institution has closed. I need resources for my virtual class. What do I do?

A. First, check the website for your institution’s library; your library will have many resources available through their catalog and online databases. Also, it is very likely that your librarians are working--even if remotely. Contact information for your library should be available on the library’s website. Second, OhioLINK maintains a list of resources available through our website here. Last, you can always complete the support form and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Q. What if I still have questions?

A. Please complete the support form and we’ll do our best to assist you
