Working Group Charge
An on-going critical examination of local needs and practices in regards to the management of electronic resources (ER) is essential to ensure a consistent and capable approach for user and staff access across OhioLINK institutions. The collaboration and sharing of issues, processes, current developments and trends will enable individual sites to share experiences, develop standards and best practices, and improve workflows. This group consists of librarians and staff who have responsibilities involving the management of e-resources and the tools used to manage those resources. The ER Working Group is charged with:
- Discuss and document management of e-resources including but not limited to access, acquisition, licensing, maintenance and troubleshooting issues, processes, workflows, and best practices
- Explore and document how the commercial and non-commercial tools (applications, services, and systems) are used by staff to provide and maintain user access to resources
- Explore and document how the commercial and non-commercial tools (applications, services, and systems) are used by staff to manage e-resources
- Coordinate and provide ongoing training opportunities for e-resources personnel and to those interested from the larger OhioLINK community
