John Carroll University Grasselli Library and Breen Learning Center

Originally dedicated in 1961, Grasselli Library doubled its capacity (to 100,000 square feet) in 1995 with the opening of the Breen Learning Center wing. The library houses more than 775,000 books, bound periodicals, and audiovisual items. The library offers a coffee bar and lounge, an open-air reading garden, and a 44-seat Computer Commons adjacent to the reference area. In January 2010, the Center for Digital Media opened on the main floor of Grasselli Library. The CDM as it is referred as, combines the resources and services of the Faculty Technology Innovation Center with those of Grasselli Library's Student Multimedia Center.

The goal of the center is to provide faculty and students with the hardware, software, and training they need to create sophisticated presentations, videos, graphics, and other forms of multimedia that can serve to enhance teaching, learning, research, and creativity.
