The mission of the Heterick Memorial Library is to meet the diverse and changing information needs of the faculty, staff and students of the University by collecting, managing, preserving and providing access to information sources, through library and information literacy instruction, and by fostering an environment conducive to academic inquiry, scholarly communication, creative achievement, and lifelong learning.
OhioLINK spoke with Kathleen Baril, the library director, to learn more about Ohio Northern University's Library.
What are your top three points of pride in your library?
- Our resources - - we are able to provide a wide range of resources through our membership in OhioLINK that most small libraries would not be able to do.
- Our staff -- they are knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help students and faculty.
- Our physical space -- we have great study spaces for individuals, small groups, and large groups.
What's the most popular spot in your library for students and patrons?
Our first floor which was renovated in 2016 - - group study rooms, comfy lounge furniture, booths and a cafe make it a great space for study.
How long have you been a member of OhioLINK?
Heterick Memorial Library has been a member of OhioLINK since 1995.
