The Dr. Cheryl A. Mueller Library at the University of Northwestern Ohio strives to connect students, faculty and staff with the resources they need.
OhioLINK recently spoke with Paul Higdon, library director, to learn more about all the library has to offer.
What are your top three points of pride in your library?
- Firstly, our 3D Print lab allows students either to design and create items for a class or to pursue their personal interests. It allows for their imagination to sort of take flight, and it is great to see how creatively talented our students are.
- We also have the Tool Shed, which is a collection of tools such as socket sets, wrenches, saws, drills, etc. It is our most frequently circulated collection, and we love that we can offer this unique compilation of tools for students to research and learn from.
- Lastly, the faculty requests for our information literacy classes have increased by 427% in the last three years. We are very proud of this, and will continue to work hard to improve all of our classes here.
What is the most popular spot in your library for patrons?
Our group study rooms are always full to overflowing. Especially during finals week!
How long have you been a member of OhioLINK?
We have been a member of OhioLINK since 2008.
