After 22 years and six months, Anita Cook will say farewell to OhioLINK.

Cook, who currently serves as coordinator of OhioLINK catalogs, will begin her retirement on Oct. 1, 2014.

She began her librarianship career as circulation supervisor at the University of Denver’s Penrose Library, followed by 11 years as systems coordinator at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She joined OhioLINK on March 2, 1992, as one of the organization’s first employees.

Joanna Voss joined OhioLINK on September 2, 2014, in the role of Collections Analyst.  The Collections Analyst works with the Deputy Director to develop processes for activating and managing consortially purchased electronic resources, including databases, journals, and eBooks.  She will manage projects relating to analysis of collection data, including developing metrics, indicators, analytics, graphing trends and creating models of summary data for print and electronic collections.

The OhioLINK central catalog will be down for maintenance beginning at 5am, Thursday August 21.  We are scheduled to install the Innovative Beta Release of 2014 and expect to be back up by 7am.

The following enhancements are slated for INN-Reach:

Recently the American Association of Physics Teachers sent an email to its Ohio members regarding OhioLINK's contract with AIP Publishing, which ended on Dec. 31, 2013.

Tasha Bryant-Willis joined OhioLINK on July 7th as Coordinator, Member and User Services.  This position works closely with the Manager of Member and User Services

Columbus, Ohio – In the recent FY 2015-2016 Ohio Capital Budget Bill, the State of Ohio showed its commitment to Ohio’s intellectual and technology resources by allocating $12 million to OhioLINK for the purchase of consortium’s permanent digital library collection and another $2 million to support capital improvements for regional, high-density book depositories.

OhioLINK is currently hiring for a Manager of Shared Resources and Print Policy.  More information is available at this page: http://go.osu.edu/huz and the application is available now at jobsatosu.com.

OhioLINK's technical support will be doing maintenance on the switching infrastructure TONIGHT, Thursday evening, February 27, 2014 from 10 to 11 p.m.  It is extremely likely that we will lose access to OhioLINK services during this time.  This includes the OhioLINK Catalog, the Electronic Journal Center, the eBook Center, the Digital Resource Commons, the Electronic Theses and Dissertations center, and the OhioLINK web server.

The EBSCO Support site includes OhioLINK's implementation of the EBSCO Discovery Service as a Customer Success Story.  View the full report here.
