Amy Badertscher

Associate Vice-President for LBIS and Library Director, Kenyon College

Amy E. Badertscher is currently the Associate Vice President and Library Director for Library and Information Services at Kenyon. Amy arrived at Kenyon College in 2006 as the Associate Director of Collection Services, a joint technical services department between Kenyon College and Denison University. Over the last decade Amy served a variety of positions at Kenyon including the Director for Collection Services and the Director of Library Services. Prior to joining Kenyon Amy was a researcher at McKinsey & Co. with a background in insurance and the library director at a large life insurance company in Boston. Amy is currently deeply involved in a new library building project which may start in the summer of 2017. In her current role Amy leads a team of librarians, library professionals and technology staff.   

Amy is active in national organizations, including the American Library Association, Association of College and Research Libraries and the Oberlin Group consortium of national liberal arts colleges. Amy is currently a member of the ACRL Nominating Committee.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in History from Lake Forest College and a master’s degree from Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
