Rebecca Belford from Oberlin College of the Cataloging and Metadata Working Group demonstratED making, testing, and running norm rules on a set of records for cleanup, using the syntax documentation, ExLibris Developer Network, and existing rules as starting points. Norm rules can also be applied at the point of import. Additionally, there was a brief demonstration of the rules that Oberlin uses with both Connexion and batch imports.
"Watch Me Work” sessions provide the opportunity to observe Working Group members’ personal work processes. These interactive sessions are open to all. Participants are encouraged to share ideas and knowledge. “Watch Me Work” sessions are not training. Please consult with your LSP Project Leads (or Basecamp posts) for best practices.
