COLUMBUS, Ohio (Oct. 26, 2016) – OhioLINK is excited to welcome a new member to its team. Christiana Congelio joined OhioLINK on Oct. 24 as its coordinator of member services and marketing. In this role, Congelio will work closely with the executive director, deputy director, other OhioLINK staff and personnel from OhioLINK member institutions to develop, maintain and assess member services for OhioLINK. She will oversee communication and marketing activities for the organization and specific services, and serve as primary liaison to OhioLINK library deans and directors.
Columbus, Ohio – The OhioLINK Electronic Theses and Dissertation (ETD) Center database is about to get a major influx of content to further benefit students, faculty and researchers.
On September 7, the ETD Center added a new capability called Retrospective Batch Upload, in which OhioLINK member libraries and graduate schools can upload older theses and dissertations in bulk. Previously, ETDs could be uploaded on an individual basis only.
OhioLINK has officially launched its significantly upgraded Electronic Journal Center (EJC), giving OhioLINK students, faculty and researchers enhanced access to a vast, rich array of high-quality research journals.
The EJC is a database that contains 26 million full-text articles from more than 11,000 academic journals from top scholarly publishers, academic societies and university presses. The project was made possible through a $1 million capital expenditure from the State of Ohio funded through the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Technology Initiatives.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OhioLINK has been approved for membership in the National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA) by the Digital Library Federation Coordinating Committee. Being part of the NDSA is one of many components of OhioLINK’s new Digital Preservation Program for shared digital resources. Membership allows OhioLINK to be part of a national group of organizations partnering to ensure the stewardship and preservation of digital resources.
OhioLINK is excited to welcome Judith Cobb to our team as the Digital Curation Coordinator. In her new position, Cobb will manage OhioLINK’s implementation of the Ex Libris Rosetta digital preservation platform and develop related policies and procedures.
OhioLINK is pleased to announce the selection of the Ex Libris Rosetta digital management and preservation solution. Rosetta will ensure long-term access to the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Collection (EJC), Electronic Book Collection (EBC), Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) Center, and Digital Resource Commons (DRC) collections.

OhioLINK is excited to welcome Erin Kilkenny to our team as a part-time cataloging assistant.
It is with deep regret that the Libraries Connect Ohio (LCO) partnership announces the cancellation of the LearningExpress Library (LEL), Job and Career Accelerator, and Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success subscriptions for Ohioans through public, higher education, and K-12 libraries, effective Aug. 10, 2015. As an important part of workforce development efforts in both secondary and post-secondary education, this cut will be an unfortunate loss.
We are pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the consortium: the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA). Both institutions, previously affiliates of OhioLINK, are now full members and have access to all of the great benefits available through OhioLINK.
Welcome CIM and CIA!
