Progress Details for Bulk Jobs and Job Management, July 15, 10AM
Register for this Ex Libris webinar on July 15 at 10-11AM that will highlight the new Progress Details for Bulk Jobs feature introduced in the June 2026 Alma release to give staff users enhanced visibility into the execution and status of bulk processes. In addition to this new capability, the webinar will provide a practical overview of job management in Alma, including the various types of jobs in the system and how they can be controlled and monitored.
Wiley OA Publishing changes as of July 1
OhioLINK’s Wiley Open Access (OA) journals publishing agreement will reach its annual limits in 2026. To avoid potential issues due to changes in Wiley’s procedures, OhioLINK is taking additional steps in 2026 as limits are reached. As of July 1, new APC coverage requests in Wiley’s fully OA journals can no longer be approved. Limits are expected to be reached in Wiley’s hybrid journals later this summer. See the Wiley OA update page for librarians for details. OhioLINK is communicating about these changes in greater detail to Directors, CIRM, and ERIT. Ex Libris release notes updated July 5
The regular update of Ex Libris products happened as scheduled on July 5, 2026. Updates to all Ex Libris products will be made in all OhioLINK library IZs on that date. The release notes for the upcoming changes are now available on Ostaff. To keep track of release information, product roadmaps, and known issues, there is a new page now on Ostaff.
Primo NDE Basecamp
A new OhioLINK Primo NDE Basecamp is open to any staff from member libraries who want to learn and support one another as we implement NDE. If you’d like to join, send an email to support@ohiolink.edu with your name, email address, and institution name. Light moderation will be provided by OhioLINK staff and the Primo NDE project team.
Info Hub: Configuring Rapido/“Beyond My Library” search profile
There is a new Info Hub article Configuring “Beyond My Library” Rapido Search Profile and Slot for Primo VE/Primo NDE about how to configure the Rapido/"Beyond my Library" search profile and enable the corresponding slot for Primo VE/Primo NDE. This configuration will ensure that no Rapido offerings will be suppressed from your search slot.

FirstSearch/WorldCat Discovery changes
OCLC has recently communicated that due to changes by British Library, the OCLC WorldCat Discovery product team has removed British Library data from the FirstSearch/WorldCat Discovery central index as of June 15. This includes:
- PapersFirst: This database will be completely removed.
- ProceedingsFirst: This database will be completely removed.
- ArticleFirst: Only the British Library partition of this database will be removed

First Ohio Library Employees Institute event, Aug 11 &12!
Don’t miss the first-ever Ohio Library Employees Institute (OLEI) in-person event happening this summer, August 11-12! This two-day program supports professional development and is designed to help library staff connect with colleagues across all library types, with a particular focus on library support staff, who often have fewer opportunities for training and networking.
