OhioLINK is excited to welcome Erin Kilkenny to our team as a part-time cataloging assistant.

It is with deep regret that the Libraries Connect Ohio (LCO) partnership announces the cancellation of the LearningExpress Library (LEL), Job and Career Accelerator, and Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success subscriptions for Ohioans through public, higher education, and K-12 libraries, effective Aug. 10, 2015. As an important part of workforce development efforts in both secondary and post-secondary education, this cut will be an unfortunate loss.

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the consortium: the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA).  Both institutions, previously affiliates of OhioLINK, are now full members and have access to all of the great benefits available through OhioLINK.

Welcome CIM and CIA!

Stefanie Wolf

Stefanie Wolf, OhioLINK’s executive assistant, earned her bachelor’s degree from Capital University where she majored in English. In addition to her time at Capital, she spent two years studying abroad at the Center for International Education in Moscow.

The planned maintenance for all OhioLINK services has been completed.  All services are up and running as of 12pm today.  Our sincere thanks goes to the OH-TECH team members that were working hard overnight to get the servers moved and back up.

As always, please refer to the Problem Report Form on our website to report any issues.

All OH-TECH organizations – including OhioLINK – are moving to a new data center. The new location at the State of Ohio Computing Center will provide us with a near-Tier 4 data center that can deliver a higher grade of services and achieve greater efficiencies.

We have worked hard to schedule this move so as to minimize the disruption to OhioLINK end users. However, it is necessary to schedule one maintenance window which will involve a significant outage of all OhioLINK hosted services.

Jennie Thomas, OhioLINK’s Electronic Serials Clerk, earned her bachelor’s degree from Otterbein University where she double majored in history and government, and education – and her master’s in library science from Kent State University.

Jennie, who came out of retirement to join OhioLINK, previously worked as a public services librarian at The Athenaeum of Ohio, a Catholic seminary in Cincinnati. She also held two positions at the Environmental Protection Agency in Cincinnati as its serials librarian and interlibrary loan librarian.

Elizabeth Coulter

OhioLINK is excited to welcome Elizabeth Coulter to our team as the Coordinator for Marketing and Public Relations.  This position will work closely with the Executive Director overseeing communications and marketing strategy.

Theda Schwing

Theda Schwing, OhioLINK’s Catalog Coordinator, earned her bachelor’s degree in integrated mathematics education from Miami University and her master’s in library science from Kent State University.
