Lynn Ulatowski, a PhD graduate of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), recently transitioned from her Post-doctoral fellowship with CWRU to continue her research as an assistant professor at Ursuline College. Her Dissertation topic: Regulation of Vitamin E and Tocopherol Transfer protein received the Academic Excellence Award. Congratulations to Kent State University School of Library and Information Science, Kent State University Tuscarawas Academic Learning Commons and The Ohio State University Libraries Journal Publishing for their mentions in the 2015 New Media Consortium (NMC) Horizon Report > 2015 Library Edition. The features include information about increased access to research content, the future roles and skills of librarians and the implications of makerspace inclusion in the library.

Josh Javor, an undergraduate student in Ohio State’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, received a 2015 Pelotonia Undergraduate Fellowship in May. Javor is in the final stages of designing a microscope that employs a detection method currently used in material science engineering to help oncologic surgeons quickly identify tumor margins in the operating room.

OhioLINK is excited to welcome Erin Kilkenny to our team as a part-time cataloging assistant.

It is with deep regret that the Libraries Connect Ohio (LCO) partnership announces the cancellation of the LearningExpress Library (LEL), Job and Career Accelerator, and Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success subscriptions for Ohioans through public, higher education, and K-12 libraries, effective Aug. 10, 2015. As an important part of workforce development efforts in both secondary and post-secondary education, this cut will be an unfortunate loss.

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the consortium: the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA).  Both institutions, previously affiliates of OhioLINK, are now full members and have access to all of the great benefits available through OhioLINK.

Welcome CIM and CIA!

The planned maintenance for all OhioLINK services has been completed.  All services are up and running as of 12pm today.  Our sincere thanks goes to the OH-TECH team members that were working hard overnight to get the servers moved and back up.

As always, please refer to the Problem Report Form on our website to report any issues.
