OhioLINK’s scholarly resources support teaching, research, recruiting, and accreditation.
Faculty have access to extensive print and electronic scholarly resources—rivaling those of top research universities, no matter the endowment, departmental funding, or geographic location. OhioLINK also provides free, open access publishing in thousands of journals and helps faculty learn about teaching with low- and no-cost course materials.
Essential for Ohio’s academic infrastructure
As Ohio’s academic library consortium, OhioLINK brings together the funding and expertise of its member institutions to provide a vast array of library resources that underpin teaching, grants, research, recruiting, and accreditation.
These critical library resources are available through OhioLINK statewide contracts rather than local subscriptions. However, campus libraries actively participate in resource selection to ensure local faculty and student needs are met.
By leveraging its state-funded budget and expert negotiators, OhioLINK secures more than $1 billion annual savings for member institutions and the state—reducing costs and expanding faculty access to scholarly resources.
