Creation: Central Ohio Technical College is pleased to announce that multiple faculty members participated in the first and second round of content teams as part of the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s OER Innovation Grant.  Jackie Sample served on the Intro to Psychology Team, and Emily Dennett and Nicholas Shay served on the Statistics team; Eric Jorrey served as part of the Sociology review team, and Seth Kim served as part of the Macroeconomic review team.  

Advocacy:

The Central Ohio Technical College library has an OER LibGuide, which provides faculty with an overview of Open Education resources, information on evaluating resources, copyright, and links to a number of OER portals. Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark will host a joint Open Textbook Network workshop for interested faculty and staff on February 22, 2019.


Starting in 2018, the John L. and Christine Warner Library will pilot a small grant opportunity to faculty who attend an Open Textbook Network workshop and review one textbook in the Open Textbook Network Library.
