Announcements
Upcoming Watch Me Work sessions
August 26, 1:00-2:00 PM, join the Reporting & Analytics Working Group’s “Watch Me Work” session where members will share questions and plans for approaching the upcoming ACRL statistical survey during this transition from Sierra to Alma. Register here.
August 28, 10-11AM, join the Circulation & Resource Sharing Working Group with presenter Scott Trimmer of Cuyahoga Community College to learn about Using Item Policies as the Basis for Fulfillment Unit Loan Rules. Scott will review the setup of a Fulfillment Unit with locations that have different Terms of Use (TOU), help you understand Fulfillment Unit Rules, and cover standardized naming conventions for Rule Name and Rule Description. Register here.
September 18, 10-11AM. Join the Training and Documentation Working Group as we show searches for Fulfillment, Acquisitions, and other work. Alma’s Persistent Search bar offers powerful searching capabilities, but it can be difficult to remember how to get the results you need, and which search dropdowns to use. Participants are welcome to share tricks that you have found to keep your searches relevant. Register here.

OhioLINK office closed Sept 1
The OhioLINK central office will be closed for Labor Day on Monday Sept 1. If you need to report an emergency outage during this time, please contact the OARnet 24/7 Service Desk at oar.net/support or 1-800-627-6420. To expedite the issue, please identify the report as an OhioLINK issue, provide them with the name of your institution and your contact information. For all other questions and non-emergency issues, please email OhioLINK Support or complete the support form on our site and we will follow up as soon as possible.
Ongoing call for crowdsourced content
Even though we’re live, let’s continue to work together to help the entire OhioLINK community by crowdsourcing Alma/Primo/Rapido training, documentation and communication materials and Primo VE code and customizations. Check out what’s been contributed here.
“Save the Date” for New Directors Orientation, Oct 17
Please save the date for the New Directors Orientation on October 17. Each year OhioLINK hosts an orientation session for new leadership at member libraries. This event is particularly beneficial for library directors who are new to Ohio and unfamiliar with OhioLINK, although it has also been well-received as a valuable review for experienced staff too. We encourage all new leaders to attend this informative, in-person event. Details regarding this meeting will be shared via the All-Directors listserv. If you have any questions, please contact Tasha Bryant-Willis.
