New American Chemical Society Open Access agreement
OhioLINK now has six OA agreements. A new 3-year, cost-neutral American Chemical Society (ACS) hybrid open access (OA) publishing agreement began January 1. Members have access to all ACS e-journals with the addition of 29 journal titles and OhioLINK authors affiliated with an EJC-participating institution can publish in any ACS hybrid journal without annual limits. Additional details can be found on Ostaff pages and through a January 23 ACS webinar for librarians (more info and registration link below):
As always, your CIRM representatives can answer any questions about this agreement—or any—OhioLINK collection package. You can find your rep in the CIRM roster or contact us at OhioLINK support.

Librarians are invited to learn about the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) new OhioLINK Read & Publish agreement, which began January 1. Presenters from ACS will highlight the content that is available under the new agreement, and how the publishing process works for both authors and librarians, with time for Q&A. Please register for the ACS webinar on Friday, January 23 at 9-10 a.m.
IOP OA agreement renewed 2026-2028
Following in-depth CIRM review, the IOP Read & Publish agreement has been renewed for an additional 3 years, 2026-2028. The agreement includes access to all IOP journal titles, as well as unlimited open-access (OA) publishing benefits for all institutions that participate in the Electronic Journal Center (EJC).
Reminder: New Ostaff account passwords required
OhioLINK’s new Identity Management (IDM) went live in December and all Ostaff account holders must set a new password to login to Ostaff and Member portal. Please see our new Ostaff Account FAQ page for details. If you encounter issues setting your new password, please reach out and request support.
New policy: User-facing notes for O’Reilly Online Learning items in Primo
The User Experience Policy Team (UXPT) and the Library Advisory Council (LAC) recently passed a policy regarding user-facing notes for O’Reilly Online Learning platform in Network Zone records. OhioLINK has added these user-facing notes described in the policy so that they will display in Primo results from the O’Reilly collection. The goal of the notes is to add additional explanation for end users within the Primo interface on O’Reilly’s unusual authentication process. Notes appear underneath the “O'Reilly Online Learning: Academic/Public Library Edition” link in the View Online section of the book results page in Primo. As always, if you have any questions you can reach out to your UXPT representative or to OhioLINK support.
OhioLINK Alma/Primo Listserv
To further support information sharing among members, we have established a new Alma/Primo listserv (ohl-alma) as an opt-in collaborative space. Participants are encouraged to share their Alma/Primo accomplishments—big and small—exchange documentation, and ask questions about workflows, display issues, reports, and more. The listserv may also assist the community in identifying emerging sub-topics or groups that may benefit from dedicated lists or alternative communication tools. Please consider joining the ohl-alma list. Additional information about other OhioLINK lists is also available.
