Announcements

Summit 2024 wraps

Catch up on any missed Summit presentations via Ostaff’s Summit playlist. A huge thank you goes to this year’s Planning Committee: “The Mels” from University of Akron for co-chairing; Katy Kelly of University of Dayton as past chair; and Jennifer Casteen, Sharon Richter, and Mira Scarnecchia from Columbus State Community College. The OhioLINK community is fortunate to have such dedicated members willing to volunteer their time and expertise.

Fall eTutoring has started

Undergraduate students who attend participating institutions can receive free OhioLINK eTutoring during the fall 2024 term beginning August 27th! Supplemental synchronous writing assignment reviews and live virtual tutoring will be available to students who visit OhioLINK eTutoring and create their free account. For more information, or to become a participating institution, contact etutoring@ohiolink.edu.

Choice webinar “Partnering for Progress: Discussion on Transformative Agreements,” Sept 17, 1PM

Amy Pawlowski of OhioLINK and Jennifer Matthews of Rowan University will share their experiences, challenges, and successes in implementing and managing transformative agreements in a discussion moderated by Emily Singley of Elsevier. The session will provide practical insights to help libraries navigate the evolving world of open access. Find more information and register here.

Save the Date: New Director Orientation, Oct 18

Each year OhioLINK provides an orientation for new leadership at member libraries. This is especially useful for library directors who are new to the state and do not have previous experience with OhioLINK. However, it also can be a great review those who are not new. Meeting details will soon be sent to the All-Directors list. If you have any questions, please contact Tasha Bryant-Willis.
