Webinar: How the Ohio State University Libraries is using AI to enhance digital accessibility, Feb 18, 3PM
Please register to hear Cory Tressler, Assistant Dean for Technology and Digital Programs at OSU Libraries, talk about how they are using AI for digital accessibility. In April 2024, the DOJ updated federal Title II digital accessibility rules. Facing the daunting task of remediating millions of pages of PDFs and generating Alt Text for hundreds of thousands of images in its collections, the University Libraries explored AI to enable automation to meet accessibility standards within the updated rules. Attendees will learn how the University Libraries is approaching this challenge and the results thus far. You can read more about the project in this recent article. You are welcome to share the invitation to register with other groups in your institution, such as IT. This session will be recorded and posted to the Webinars & Video page.
Info Hub: How to change the order of Online Services in Primo VE
Your institution may wish to change the default display order of online services in Primo VE. By default, online services will be displayed in alphabetical order. Read Configuring the Order of Online Services to learn how to customize the order of both institution-activated/owned and Network-distributed online services.
OhioLINK libraries and SearchOhio lending
SearchOhio libraries have resumed lending using the new Clarivate Rapido Consortial Borrowing (Rapido CB) product. OhioLINK libraries will go live with Rapido CB for SearchOhio lending soon. We will still take a soft-launch, no-promotion approach to slow requests, give staff more time to accommodate working with new software, and mitigate any unforeseen challenges that may occur during go live. There is more information on Ostaff. If you have questions, please talk with your Alma Project Lead, ICS representative or Resource Sharing representative. You can also contact OhioLINK support.
See Resuming OhioLINK/SearchOhio Lending (recording from Feb 5) for a discussion of the new Rapido Consortial Borrowing (Rapido CB) tool, the timeline for the go-live launch, the transition process, support resources, and highlights the workflow changes from the previous INN-Reach system.
New American Chemical Society Open Access agreement
OhioLINK now has six OA agreements, with the latest being a new 3-year, cost-neutral American Chemical Society (ACS) hybrid open access (OA) publishing agreement that began January 1. Members have access to all ACS e-journals with the addition of 29 journal titles and OhioLINK authors affiliated with an Electronic Journal Center (EJC) participating institution can publish in any ACS hybrid journal without annual limits. Additional details can be found on Ostaff pages and through ACS webinars (more info and registration links below):
OhioLINK’s downloadable Open Access Agreements Summary Table (pdf) has been updated to include ACS information. As a reminder, this table provides an overview of all OhioLINK’s OA agreements and addresses what OhioLINK librarians told us were frequently asked, basic questions from authors. No Ostaff password required. Please feel free to share the link or download the PDF and post the summary on your library’s site.
As always, your CIRM representatives can answer any questions about this agreement—or any—OhioLINK collection package. You can find your rep in the CIRM roster or contact us at OhioLINK support.
ACS webinars for librarians and authors
Authors are invited to watch recordings about the new OhioLINK Read & Publish agreement with the American Chemical Society’s (ACS), which began January 1 (see more information above). A recording of the January 23 ACS webinar for librarians is also available in Ostaff Webinars & Video. We’ll post ACS’s presentation for authors as soon as it is available.
Alma LSP e-resources section on Ostaff
OhioLINK continues to make changes to Ostaff to help members find information. An Alma LSP section now appears at the top of the Ostaff landing page drawing attention to a new page highlighting Alma E-Resources.

The OhioLINK office will not use this listserv for general information sharing and will provide only light moderation for this list. To join, email ohl-alma@lists.ohiolink.edu.
- Questions and conversations about Rapido, RapidILL, and Resource Sharing should be directed to the Resource Sharing listserv.
- Members must contact OhioLINK support (or Ex Libris support) directly for follow-up on specific questions, support issues, or inquiries directed to OhioLINK staff.

OhioLINK members are ELUNA members
Just a reminder that all OhioLINK member institutions are ELUNA members. ELUNA is the user community for Ex Libris customers in North America. Members enjoy educational and networking benefits through webinars, regional meetings, and annual conferences. ELUNA maintains a number of advisory and working groups whose members are selected through a nomination process, however ELUNA manages a number of listservs for broader discussion about each of the Ex Libris products. Members can also participate in collaborative testing, training, focus groups and many other customer-driven initiatives that are geared toward improving Ex Libris products. Save the dates: the 2026 ELUNA conference will be April 27 – May 1 in Los Angeles.
