LSP Migration

- The last in-person training is at Baldwin Wallace University this week. Online training dates are TBD. More information will be shared soon.
- Rapido Wave 6 training started last week. Waves 4 & 5 will start on February 25. Rapido is the tool that will replace INN-Reach lending (PCIRC) in Alma/ Primo.
- Check the Technical Freeze page for dates and impacts. If you have specific questions, please contact your LSP Project Lead.
- A new project team has produced recommendations for pre-technical freeze local record cleanup projects. They’ve put together a short video. Links and details below.
- A new page has been added to the LSP site that details approved LSP policies and supporting documentation, including a policy for Record Contribution to the Network Zone.
- There is a new micro-learning recording available: Alma Zones Part 3.
- The recording of the Feb 12 Walk Through the Go Live Checklist: Fulfillment (Course Reserves) and User Management has been posted. The OhioLINK Go Live Checklist can be used to assess and supplement personal skills.

New record cleanup recommendations
An Acquisitions, Cataloging, and E-Resources (ACE) project team was formed from the relevant LSP working groups to produce recommendations for local record cleanup projects as well as the new Record Contribution to the Network Zone Policy. The Recommendations for Pre-Cutover Sierra Cleanup and Decision Tree for E-resource Migration to Alma documents have been reviewed by the Training & Documentation Working Group and can be utilized prior to technical freeze on March 28th. The ACE team created a short video on cleanup recommendations and is also working on InfoHub “how-tos. More information will be shared with functional teams this week.

DIAD Policy Team, March 3, 10AM
The Database Improvement and Discoverability (DIAD) Policy Team will meet on Monday March 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. via Webex. DIAD focuses on metadata as it relates to integration between shared systems and local systems, authority work, database integrity, and the impact of displays and searching of metadata on end users in shared or integrated systems. Acquisitions Working Group open session, Feb 21, 9AM
The Acquisitions LSP Working Group invites those who work with acquisitions, as well as any other interested library staff, to register for an open discussion on February 21 at 9-10AM. The working group would like to share learning around about the migration to Alma and what it means for acquisitions in your library, including topics such as migrating acquisitions, fiscal close, ordering, acquisitions integrations, and technical freeze activities, and more. The session will be recorded.
Exploring Alma Analytics and Sharing Reports, Feb 25, 11AM
Please register to join the Reporting and Analytics Working Group on Feb 25 at 11:00 a.m. for an hour-long open community discussion on running reports and sharing templates with other members in the Alma Analytics Catalog. This session will include a demonstration on generating basic fulfillment reports using shared Ex Libris templates, sharing reports, and leveraging the Community Folder for collaboration. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss shared reporting needs within their institutions and across the consortium. It will be recorded.
Discovery and UX Working Group open session, Feb 26, 10AM
Please register for the Discovery and User Experience (DUX) Working Group open call on Feb 26 at 10AM. DUX WG wants to hear from you! This session is a chance to share questions and tips across discovery topics and help us better understand the state of work across OhioLINK libraries to identify ways to support you. How is the discovery and user experience work going at your library? What questions and concerns remain? If you attended the OhioLINK and Ex Libris live training sessions this month, what did you learn?
