- OhioLINK has begun to share short demonstration videos for Alma essentials in a LSP Micro-Learning playlist. We will try to post one short recording a week on the Ostaff webinars page for the remainder of the year.
- Rapido training has started for some libraries. These trainings will align with go-live waves. Rapido is the tool that will replace INN-Reach lending (PCIRC) in Alma/ Primo.
- Your LSP Project Lead can address any LSP question or concern.

New Resource: Sage Skills available now through trial
On January 1, 2025, OhioLINK will be adding a new resource to support students’ academic and business skills. Students and faculty can navigate thousands of fundamental skills presented through written material, interactive scenarios, self-assessments, downloadable datasets, worksheets, and video. Workplace-readiness focused Sage Skills: Business and academic focused Sage Skills: Student Success are currently available via trial through OhioLINK’s Research Databases list. You can find FAQs for librarians (with Ostaff login) and FAQs for faculty (no login needed) on Ostaff. See Sage Skills Dec 3 or 5 webinars for faculty below.
OhioLINK office closed November 28, 29
The OhioLINK central office will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 28 & 29. If you need to report an emergency outage during this time, please contact the OARnet 24/7 Service Desk at 1-800-627-6420 and identify your report as an OhioLINK issue and provide them with the name of your institution and your contact information. For all other questions and non-emergency issues, please email OhioLINK Support or complete the support form on our site.
Fall eTutoring ends Friday, December 6
Students who attend participating institutions can receive free OhioLINK eTutoring through Friday, December 6, 2024. eTutoring services resume in January. If your institution would like to learn more about our asynchronous writing assignment reviews and live virtual tutoring collaborative, please contact Patti Grimes at etutoring@ohiolink.edu.
Independent institution reps for CIRM and UX
There is an open position for an Independent library representative for OhioLINK’s standing Cooperative Information Resources Management Policy Team (CIRM) and the User Experience Policy Team (UX). These are 3-year terms, from January 2025 – December 2027. The Independent libraries policy team representative ensures that the group’s perspectives and concerns are reflected in policies and decisions. Medical library rep for ICS
There is one open position for a medical library representative on OhioLINK’s Intercampus Services Committee Policy Team (ICS). This is a 3-year term, from January 2025 – December 2027. The standing policy teams identify issues, discuss changes or solutions, and propose membership‐wide commitments, policies, and procedures to the Library Advisory Council. In general, the teams deal with decisions that require financial commitments or other membership‐wide agreements to ensure that OhioLINK functions as a cooperative venture. The Medical libraries policy team representatives ensure that the group’s perspectives and concerns are reflected in policies and decisions. On January 1, 2025, OhioLINK will be adding a new resource to support students’ academic and business skills. This session introduces the development and vision behind the Sage Skills suite, highlighting its innovative approach to providing self-guided, skill-building resources.
Participants will explore multimedia features and interactive components designed to support practical, self-directed learning. The session will also cover strategies for seamlessly integrating these flexible, engaging modules into course materials, learning management systems, and class websites to enhance classroom instruction and foster independent learning. Perfect for professors and educators, this session offers insights into driving student success through accessible, skill-focused resources.

Learn about GOBI assistance during migration, Dec 4 or 17
Carol Seiler, Account Services Manager for Library Technical Services at GOBI, will provide an overview of the assistance GOBI can provide before, during, and after your migration to Alma. Topics will include common workflows with Alma, an overview of services available to OhioLINK members, and best practices for your migration. Questions are welcome.
