Tip of the Week - #038 (Local date due cards removal)

Please do not put local date due cards into PCIRC items.  Often these are not removed when returned and may stay in the book once it is returned to the owning library.

Some libraries have check out cards that are keyed to their local security. The check out card desensitizes the security tag in the book. This means that if the card is missed upon return, there is risk that the book may walk out the door undetected.

Due dates are meant to be written in the box provided on the book band.
