Statement of Purpose
The E-resources Community of Interest (ERCI) is dedicated to exploration, discussion, and documentation of electronic resource management issues, processes, and trends and sharing of local experiences, best practices, and workflows. This includes, but is not limited to, software tools and practices related to electronic resource access, acquisition, licensing, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This group will support and supplement the larger E-Resources Implementation Team by providing a place for less formal, more individualized exploration of E-resources practices and products. The group also provides a space for individuals at OhioLINK institutions who are not on the E-resources Implementation Team to learn and share first-hand from other individuals in similar roles.
The E-Resources Community of Interest will organize a yearly workshop - a chance for e-resources professionals to share what works (or didn’t work) for them at their institutions, what technologies are or are not worth pursuing and why, what e-resource products or collections are especially valuable for specialized populations, etc.
Listserv Information
ERCI will utilize the erci@list.ohiolink.edu listserv for communication of events, and as a forum for discussion of electronic resources, and issues and initiatives that impact electronic resources.
