eTutor holiday and time off policies

eTutor holiday and time off policies

eTutoring days of operation - eTutoring will remain in continuous operation 7 days each week during the entire eTutoring semester, excluding federal holidays only.  Each eTutor (synchronous or asynchronous) will work all of their regular weekly scheduled days each week for the full length of the eTutoring semester except federal holidays only. This includes weekends and days before and after federal holidays, unless specified at the start of a new semester by the campus coordinator.  The federal holiday days that eTutoring observes are New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Communicating pre-planned time off - Campus coordinators are responsible to disclose any/all other pre-planned dates an eTutor will not work due to closures, breaks or events approved by their institution.  Campus coordinators will provide this information in the New Semester eTutoring Availability Form each semester (or email pgrimes@ohiolink.edu as soon as possible).

Communicating sickness or an emergency - eTutors should notify their campus coordinator and Cc the program coordinator at pgrimes@ohiolink.edu as soon as possible if they cannot make a session due to illness or an emergency.

Hours off - eTutor’s availability will simply be removed from the schedule for the period requested unless the campus coordinator communicates the days/times the eTutor would like to make up hours. Any concerns about excessive time off will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
