OhioLINK and its member libraries benefit from many partners who collaborate with us on joint projects.

Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO) – The professional organization for Ohio academic librarians.

INFOhio – The information network for Ohio’s K-12 schools.

Libraries Connect Ohio (LCO) –Libraries Connect Ohio (LCO) is a partnership of Ohio libraries and library organizations that work together to build and provide the Ohio Web Library core collection of information resources. The principal partners are:

  • INFOhio, the statewide cooperative school library and information network, supporting and enriching teaching and learning by providing equitable access to quality resources for Ohio's PreK-12 community of students, educators, and parents.

  • The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK), a consortium of Ohio college and university libraries and the State Library of Ohio, that work together to provide Ohio students, faculty, and researchers with the information they need for teaching and research.

  • The Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN), providing internet connections to Ohio public libraries and contributing to the Ohio Web Library.

  • The State Library of Ohio, a state agency serving state government and all types of libraries.

OARnet – A division of OH-TECH, providing Internet access and other services for higher education institutions in the state.

OH-TECH– Ohio Technology Consortium of the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Ohio Department of Higher Education – Ohio’s coordinating body for higher education.

Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA) – A professional organization dedicated to educational, literary and technological excellence in library/media services in Ohio’s schools.

Ohio Library Council (OLC) – The Ohio Library Council is the statewide professional association which represents the interests of Ohio’s public libraries as well as their trustees, Friends and staffs.

OHIONET – A non-profit library membership organization.

Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) – OPLIN, funded by the Ohio General Assembly, offers Ohio residents fast, free access to the Internet and to subscription databases through Ohio’s local public libraries.

Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) – A division of OH-TECH, which provides the computational power, infrastructure, and expertise needed to answer the demands of the Ohio education and research community.

Ohio Web Library – The Ohio Web Library is an evolving collection of thousands of online publications and research resources, that are provided to all Ohioans by Libraries Connect Ohio, a partnership of Ohio’s libraries and library organizations. The Ohio Web Library includes: popular magazines, trade publications, scholarly research journals, newspapers from Ohio and the nation, encyclopedias, dictionaries, speeches, poems, plays, maps, satellite images of Ohio, and more. The Ohio Web Library supports quality education, a skilled workforce, business growth, and lifelong learning in Ohio. By providing resources statewide, LCO can cost-effectively provide necessary information resources to all Ohioans, regardless of their location, age, education or economic status. Access to the Ohio Web Library resources is provided to every Ohioan via Ohio’s academic, public and school libraries.

State Library of Ohio – The State Library of Ohio is the principal research library for Ohio state government. The State Library also works to promote the development of library services and resource sharing throughout Ohio and to provide specialized library services to Ohio residents.

University System of Ohio – Ohio’s network of public colleges and universities includes 14 universities with 24 branch campuses and 23 community colleges working in a collaborative, cooperative environment across the state. With a mission to provide affordable, high quality higher education opportunities for all Ohioans, programs and curricula are designed to meet Ohioans’ needs for the 21st century.
