Announcements
INN-Reach print lending paused
As part of our shift from INN-Reach to Rapido for print lending, users can no longer place new requests through the Central Catalog or the SearchOhio catalog. Lending will resume among OhioLINK libraries as libraries go live on Alma. Lending with SearchOhio libraries will resume in fall 2025. Users with currently checked out materials will not be able to renew. OhioLINK and SearchOhio have placed messages on catalog search pages. See more on the Resource Sharing Milestones page. OhioLINK will also be linking to this patron-friendly page about the lending pause.
First Sierra catalog goes offline on June 2
In our transition to Alma, we are beginning to wind down the OhioLINK Sierra catalogs— starting with serials. On Monday, June 2, anyone navigating to https://serials.ohiolink.edu will be redirected to a public Ostaff page saying the catalog is no longer available. Please contact OhioLINK Support with any questions or concerns.
Wiley OA changes take effect June 7
Wiley has postponed making a change to its fully open access (OA) journal acceptance processes until June 7. With this change, requests for APC coverage made at submission to fully OA journals are provisional until allocation availability and institutional affiliation are reconfirmed following acceptance for publication. The change only affects authors requesting APC coverage to Wiley’s fully OA journals. Hybrid journals are not affected. OhioLINK has updated the Wiley OA Ostaff page for librarians. Wiley will update their OhioLINK agreement page once the change is in place. If you have any questions, please contact your CIRM or ERIT representative.
Auth25 is complete
Remote users to the OhioLINK Electronic Book Center (EBC), Electronic Journal Center (EJC), Music Center, and RAVE links are now being successfully redirected to the GO service and then to their local institutions’ proxy login page. Some institutions did discover small proxy configuration changes were required. If you have questions, please feel free to ask your ERIT or Lead Implementer representatives, or review information on the Auth25 Ostaff page. You can also contact support@ohiolink.edu or complete our support form.
Training and Documentation Working Group call for crowdsourced content
Has your library created Alma/Primo/Rapido training and documentation, content related to circulation, Rapido, or student/faculty communications/instructional materials that you could share with the OhioLINK community? The Training and Documentation Working Group invites you to contribute to a “crowdsourced” collection of resources that could be adapted by other OhioLINK libraries. Use this form to upload a file or send a link to existing web resources.
Summit 2025: Recordings posted; next session July 16
The recordings for the first two Summit 2025 sessions have been posted on the Summit page and the Ostaff webinars list. More information is available on the Summit’s Ostaff page.

LJ article: How Can Libraries Ensure Equitable Resource Access?
In this Clarivate-sponsored Library Journal article, Amy Pawlowski; Beau Case, Dean at University of Central Florida Libraries; and Migell Acosta, Director of San Diego County Library talk about the power of consortia to expand access to library materials. “In an era of shrinking library budgets, innovative consortial relationships are proving essential for maintaining equitable access to resources. Library leaders talked with Clarivate about how ILS-agnostic consortial borrowing, strategic partnerships beyond traditional resource sharing, and communicating value to stakeholders can multiply a library's impact despite financial constraints.”
