Tip of the Week - #006 (Using the locations served feature to print notices)

Keywords: notices, locations served

Some OhioLINK sites use the "locations served" feature for printing notices. A locations served table is set up with all the OhioLINK site codes and is attached to a login. Then, when a specific type of notice, such as overdue notices, is printed, all OhioLINK notices come out at once, in a group. If new OhioLINK member institutions join, then these codes must be added to the locations served table. This insures their notices will print along with the other OhioLINK notices. To view or edit your locations served table:

Select A > ADDITIONAL systems functions from the MAIN menu
Select A > ALTER system parameters from the ADDITIONAL SYSTEM FUNCTIONS menu.
Select C > CIRCULATION parameters from the ALTER SYSTEM PARAMETERS menu.
Select S > Locations SERVED from the CIRCULATION PARAMETERS menu.

INNOPAC displays the locations served table. From this menu you can key a number to modify, add, delete, undelete, move, or rename an entry.

New locations should be added to the locations served table at the same time as they are added to the branches table. To view or edit your branches table:

Select A > ADDITIONAL systems functions from the MAIN menu.
Select A > ALTER system parameters from the ADDITIONAL SYSTEM FUNCTIONS menu.
Select S > SYSTEM codes from the ALTER SYSTEM PARAMETERS menu.
