New Philadelphia, Ohio – Students and entrepreneurs in Tuscarawas County soon will be able to test, develop and implement their business ideas through a new “Makerspace” being created by the Kent State University at Tuscarawas Academic Learning Commons.
Editor's note: NASA’s Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) spacecraft successfully entered Mars’ orbit at 10:24 p.m. EDT Sunday, Sept. 21, where it now will prepare to study the Red Planet’s upper atmosphere as never done before. MAVEN is the first spacecraft dedicated to exploring the tenuous upper atmosphere of Mars.
Joanna Voss joined OhioLINK on September 2, 2014, in the role of Collections Analyst. The Collections Analyst works with the Deputy Director to develop processes for activating and managing consortially purchased electronic resources, including databases, journals, and eBooks. She will manage projects relating to analysis of collection data, including developing metrics, indicators, analytics, graphing trends and creating models of summary data for print and electronic collections.
Karen Boyd, director of the Ohio eTutoring Consortium run by the Ohio Board of Regents, has been named the 2014 Outstanding Administrator as part of the annual Diane J. Goldsmith Excellence in eTutoring Awards.
Tasha Bryant-Willis joined OhioLINK on July 7th as Coordinator, Member and User Services. This position works closely with the Manager of Member and User Services
Columbus, Ohio – In the recent FY 2015-2016 Ohio Capital Budget Bill, the State of Ohio showed its commitment to Ohio’s intellectual and technology resources by allocating $12 million to OhioLINK for the purchase of consortium’s permanent digital library collection and another $2 million to support capital improvements for regional, high-density book depositories.

Theda Schwing will serve as the Continuing Resources and Database Management Librarian for OhioLINK. Theda's first day with OhioLINK was Monday, December 16.
OhioLINK welcomes the addition of another new member: Lake Erie College. This new addition brings the total number of OhioLINK member institutions to 91, including 16 public/research universities, 23 community/technical colleges, 51 private colleges and the State Library of Ohio.
